Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

By using Zipt, you agree to these terms. We've kept them plain English where possible. If anything is unclear, ask us.

The service

Zipt provides URL shortening, QR code generation, and click analytics. We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with reasonable notice.

Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Zipt.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Keep your authentication credentials secure. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
  • One organization per account. Organizations may invite multiple team members based on their plan. Creating accounts to circumvent limits is not permitted.

Acceptable use

You may not use Zipt to:

  • Shorten links that redirect to malware, phishing pages, or illegal content.
  • Distribute spam, unsolicited messages, or deceptive content.
  • Circumvent another service's terms of use or rate limits.
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights.
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.

We may terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice. If you believe a link on our platform violates these terms, report it.

Content ownership

You retain ownership of the content behind your links. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process and store your links and analytics solely to provide the service. We don't claim any ownership over your content.

Billing and refunds

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance.
  • You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • We do not offer prorated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations.
  • If we make a billing error, we'll correct it promptly.

Service availability

We aim for high availability and invest in infrastructure to keep Zipt running reliably. Redirects are served from cached infrastructure and are generally more resilient than the dashboard. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where possible.

Limitation of liability

Zipt is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the billing period preceding the claim. For monthly customers, this is the current month and prior month. For annual customers, this is the current year.

Termination

You may close your account at any time from workspace settings. We may terminate or suspend access for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will be resolved in binding arbitration unless you opt out within 30 days of account creation by notifying us in writing.

Changes to these terms

We'll post changes here and update the date. For material changes, registered users will receive email notice at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
